phone free adelphi vol. 09 – March 3rd, 2026

Last week, Peyton came to phone free adelphi for the first time. We met at a party the previous weekend. She had a flip phone. The math was obvious: she had to come hang.

Not only did she bring a large carton of tasty strawberries, she also brought great energy, a song to work on, and a difficult book to read. She mentioned that writing songs is a somewhat arduous task for her. I totally get that. What I've found is when you have dedicated screen-free time to dedicate to a problem and don't back down, you usually find a solution.*

At the end of the evening when we reflected on our time, she told the group that the song she wrote was about a river. She was able to make some headway and felt good about it. Then, when she started reading her book, the next chapter was all about... a river. How about that synchronicity?? Feeling the flow. Which is what phone free adelphi is truly all about. Getting in FLOW together.
