phone free adelphi vol. 13 - April 8th, 2026
I met Henry not too long ago since we both hang around phone-free circles and events. Immediately, I noticed how tall he was. I also noticed that he's whip-smart, kind, and generous (he hosted an organizer meeting once and gave us as much water as we wanted). The generosity streak continued last night. In front of the (probably last) cozy fire, as people sat on the couch reading and journaling, he posed as a model/muse for Sonya. After modeling for 10-15 minutes, he approached me as I was reading my book on my nice yellow chair by the window to participate in his last pose which he called "friendship." This made me smile/warmed my heart. And the pose? It was him hugging and consoling me as I limply leaned into his tall frame, which was indeed my idea. And although the pose was artifice AT FIRST, I felt that love and comfort after a few minutes holding it. I truly felt safe and loved. Isn't that what all humans want?
