phone free update 11.04.26
And now, some reflections from last week
I'll admit it. I've been rotating the same ~11 records for the past... every phone free adelphi since January. Mostly classical records — Haydn, Bach, some instrumental guitar. It generally works! Though, some who have quietly observed the record repeats have taken note and last week, finally took action.
Enter one-time staring contest winner and PFA VIP Reba. She showed up with a solid stack of tasty records that were undeniably cool. She was like, "Mind if we play some of these tonight?" To which I replied, "Yes, please!"
While they were a bit different than the standard fair, they fit the vibe of the night perfectly. Some attendees started complimenting me on the albums and I quickly redirected that praise to her. I deeply appreciate her initiative!
It was also the first time people have asked if they could help out and flip the record. How sweet! What a thoughtful community of phone-free friends I'm gathering here.
I hope you're able to join this growing group of analog comrades.
See you soon!
